EN: I know I’ve been posting a lot of Rimmel London related reviews lately, but I just can’t help it. I think they’re one of the best drugstore brands I’ve come across, and I bought so many good products from them.

This review is about the Rimmel London ScandalEyes waterproof tube gel eyeliner. It’s not a new product, it’s been on the market for some time, but I just bought it recently, like three months ago, and I am very happy with the results.

I’m also very curious to try the Inglot gel liner, which I heard it’s the best product ever, so it will probably be my next future acquisition. But for now, this Rimmel goodie is simply perfect for me.

So, read along to see which are the 6 reasons why I loooove it so much 🙂

RO: Fetelor, țin să vă zic că am găsit cel mai tare eyeliner ever de la un brand de tip drugstore. Știu că am postat o mulțime de review-uri în ultima vreme pentru produsele Rimmel London, nu m-au plătit ei pentru asta (deși nu m-aș supăra să primesc produse spre testare, hi hi), dar pur și simplu îmi plac foarte mult.

Acest review este despre eyeliner-ul gel waterproof Rimmel London ScandalEyes, varianta la tub. Nu e un produs nou, se află pe piață de ceva timp, dar eu l-am cumpărat doar de câteva luni și sunt extrem de mulțumită de el.

Pe wishlist-ul meu se află și gel liner-ul de la Inglot, despre care am auzit doar lucruri bune, și probabil îl voi testa în viitor. Dar până atunci, minunăția asta de la Rimmel e fix ceea ce îmi trebuie.

Așadar, vă invit să citiți cele 6 motive pentru care m-am îndrăgostit de eyeliner-ul ScandalEyes 🙂

1) It’s super easy to apply/ Este foarte ușor de aplicat

EN: I mean, how easy can it be to apply eyeliner? You’re still going to get raccoon eyes no matter what, right? Well, it’s definitely not easy (only after a lot of practice, lol), but it’s a lot easier than with any other eyeliner I’ve tried so far (and that cat-eye ain’t gonna do itself).

So it comes in a tube, and I prefer this package over liquid eyeliner, because you have a lot more control with the quantity of product used, and also with the intensity and drama you want to create. Plus, it’s a lot better than a simple eye pencil, which simply doesn’t add enough dimension to your look.

I know it has a downside, the product from the tube can dry very easily, but I always make sure it’s covered between applications, and it seems to last more this way.

RO: Da, știu, e greu să nimerești linia aia perfectă fără să te murdărești, să te enervezi sau să îți strici tot machiajul. Nu e ușor, trebuie să exersezi mult sau să apelezi la diverse trucuri ca să fie OK, dar vă spun sincer că produsul ăsta face tot procesul să fie mult mai simplu și mai rapid.

Mereu am preferat varianta la tub în defavoarea eyelinerului lichid, pentru că mi se pare mult mai ușor să controlezi cantitatea de produs folosită și să jonglezi cu intensitatea sau lungimea conturului. Și desigur, un creion negru nu poate oferi suficientă dimensiune machiajului tău.

Singurul dezavantaj e că se poate usca repejor, dacă îl lași mult timp descoperit; eu mă asigur că are mereu căpăcelul pus între aplicări și văd că a rezistat foarte bine până acum.

2) It’s a very intense dark shade/ E un negru foarte intens

EN: This comes in a very strong dark black, which I absolutely love, so it gives a lot of definition to your make-up, and it just makes your eyes pop, even if you do just a simple thin line, or a dramatic wing.

RO: Ador faptul că vine într-un negru extrem de puternic, deci îți definește frumos ochii și îi scoate în evidență, indiferent dacă alegi o linie subtilă de contur sau dimpotrivă, un cat-eye dramatic.

3) It’s waterproof, so it has a very good resistance (no rain, sun, heat or wind can move this bad-boy from your lids) / E waterproof, deci e foarte rezistent (la ploaie, vânt, soare sau căldură… sau orice altceva, de fapt)

EN: That’s the best part, people: it stays on like forever! I mean, I used it on very hot days and it didn’t melt; I used it at the pool, it was still there; I used it at a music festival (and it rained a lot, and a lot of rain got straight on my face), but it was still effin’ there when I got home! I even slept with it on (I know it’s bad, I regret it every time), but in the morning it was still there.

Of course, the wing might loose a bit (or a lot) of intensity, since it’s out there, on the wild wild west of your face (meaning outside of the actual eye perimeter), but the product from the eyelid stayed on like a mofo 🙂

RO: Și am ajuns la cea mai bună parte: e super-hiper-mega rezistent. Nu vreau să exagerez, dar chiar a făcut față mai multor condiții meteorologice fără să pice testul: în zilele caniculare, la piscină, la festival (unde a plouat încontinuu). Am dormit cu el (știu că nu e bine, dar nu fac asta de obicei) și când m-am trezit, încă era acolo 🙂

Codița se estompează ceva mai ușor, dar în rest, pe pleoape rezistă mult mai mult decât m-aș fi așteptat.

4) Easy to carry around/ Foarte practic și ușor de luat în geantă

EN: Since it has a very small packaging, it can fit even in the tiniest bag you own, so it’s ideal for light traveling.

RO: Are un format mic și ocupă puțin spațiu, deci încape în orice geantă și îl poți lua cu tine oricând.

5) Comes with a nice brush/ Vine cu o pensulă pentru aplicare

EN: This comes with a brush that you will use to apply the product from the tube (kinda’ stating the obvious, but oh well). I like it, it does its job properly, but not quite so well as a special slanted brush. Don’t worry, it is pretty good, so if you don’t have a special brush,  you can use this one.

RO: În cutiuță vei găsi și o pensulă specială pentru aplicare. Mie îmi place, își face treaba, deci o poți folosi fără probleme. Totuși, trebuie să recunosc că nu e la fel de precisă precum o pensulă oblică special creată pentru eyeliner.

6) You can buy it at an amazing price/ Îl poți cumpăra la un preț foarte bun

EN: Yeah, it was about 6 euros, which is a great price. Being a drugstore brand, it might seem a bit much, but I think it’s worth it. Especially because it has a lot of product, and even if you use it every single day, it will still last for a couple of months.

RO: Eu am plătit pe el 26 de RON, de la un stand din Polus Center. Poate ți se pare mult pentru un produs de tip drugstore, dar eu zic că își merită banii. E un preț mic, dacă te gândești că te va ține câteva luni bune, chiar dacă obișnuiești să îl folosești în fiecare zi.
