How to Achieve a Summer Glowy & Bronzed Look

Hi lovelies,

Summer is the perfect season for a glowy, kissed-by-the-sun look! You know what I mean: soft smokey eyes, bronzer, highlighter, long lashes and sultry lips. Some say this should be easily achieved with just a couple of products. But that’s only if you’re already tanned, were born with long lashes, and you only need a few creamy sticks to get that look (Kim K, I’m lookin’ at you!).

For us regular people with imperfections, not tanned and not blessed with perfect facial features, we need a little more work (and a shitload of products) to make it happen.

So this is what I did the other day, I used my imagination and half of my make-up products to get a flawless skin, covered in bronzer and highlighter. And I couldn’t help but add a little eyeliner and a burgundy lipstick. Because, you know, why not? 😀

And let me be honest with you: whenever I do this kind of blog posts, to show you make-up looks, they never look as well on camera as they do in real life. And no, it’s not the camera’s fault, and neither is the lighting.

It’s just that you need to apply much more product that you normally would. A.k.a, I’m super happy with the pictures from this post, but I wouldn’t dare to go outside with that face! Trust me, it’s super noticeable when you go overboard with contouring or if you have 3 layers of foundation on.

So here’s my point: if you want to do a make-up look just for pictures, go crazy, girl! That’s the best tip I can give you. ‘Cause otherwise, it doesn’t really show up as well on camera. You could edit them, of course, but it’s not the same thing and sometimes it looks too fake.

Anyways, I hope you like this look! I’ve listed all the products I used below. Some of them are new entries in my make-up bag, and I’ll tell you more about them in future posts. And some are my staple items that I use all the time.

P.S. The flower crown is from H&M, I got it last week and it was super cheap. I know, it’s mainstream, lol, but don’t judge. I think it’s pretty, and it’s pink, so I had to buy it, okay? 😂 #LanaDelReyWannabe

OOTD: Stripes & Pastels | Tips for Outlet Shopping & My Favorite Outlets in Cluj

Hi lovelies! I hope you’re having a wonderful day so far ❤️ I’m back with a new #ootd post, because it’s been a while since I did the last one.

I had a mini-holiday last week, with 4 free days in a row, and I sure as hell enjoyed them! It was a much needed break, which meant enough time to catch up on things, do some pics for the blog, change my blog theme (I really hope you like it!), and all of that. And, of course, spend some quality time with my boyfriend and my puppy.

Aannd, I also finally got some free time to go outlet-shopping. As you might know, I’m a big fan of outlets and thrift shops, and I love discovering cool clothes in these type of stores. They have great prices, and if you’re lucky you can find many hidden treasures, that you normally wouldn’t find in the regular shopping malls.

Soo, I did a little tour of some of my favorite outlets in Cluj, bought a couple of goodies, and thought… why not share them with you? Here are my top tips for shopping in outlets + a bonus list of my fave’ outlets & second hand stores in Cluj.

Wearing: New Yorker shoes | Stradivarius Bag | George T-shirt (from Second Tex) | MAC Jeans (from La Majole)

1. Be prepared

Eat well before you leave the house, grab a bottle of water and make sure you’re wearing comfortable clothes, that are easy to take off. I usually don’t even wear make-up when shopping in outlets, to avoid leaving any foundation marks on the clothes (because with all that dressing & undressing, things can easily get messy).

2. Be patient

Sometimes you can tour all the outlets in the city and still not find anything worth buying. Other times, you’ll feel sorry for not bringing enough money with you, because you’d like to buy everything that’s in there :))

The thing to remember is that, if you’re patient enough to search through all the piles of clothes, you can definitely find some beautiful items. Some are brand new, or designer-made, or just super unique and fashionable. And even though I usually get all my basics from usual stores, I had the surprise to find some amazing basic items in outlets as well.

Just check out the top & the pants I’m wearing in this photoshoot. I got them for a super affordable price (19 RON the top, and 30 RON the pants). They are very comfortable, look brand-new, and they are super easy to mix and match in any outfit. I’m impressed!

3. Try everything on

I’m not kidding. You should try everything on, before buying anything. Maybe the item looks like your size, and it seems quite lovely at the first sight, but what if it doesn’t actually fit you? Even if the prices are a bargain, it doesn’t mean you should’t be smart about your purchases.

Also, don’t let yourself be fooled by the sizes. Sometimes a pair of jeans in your size might not fit you, while a pair with 2 sizes higher could. Or the other way around. So rather than sticking to your size only, try different sizes as well, cause’ maybe they’ll be just the perfect match.

4. Will you really take it to the tailor to fix it?

Many people buy clothes that have stains on it, with a broken zipper, or way too big for their size, with the thought that they’re gonna get it fixed afterwards. Well, I can only talk for myself, but I ain’t got the time or the patience to fix them myself or take them to the tailor!

I prefer to buy clothes that are already in a really good condition, wash them and then wear them already 😄 You know? So if you’re like me, just buy the good clothes, and put back on the hanger anything that has major flaws.

Unless you really love and need that item, in most cases it will just end up at the bottom of your closet, with no chance of ever being worn.

Soo, as promised, these are a few of the outlets & second hand stores where I always find awesome clothes. All of them are in Cluj 🙂

5 Must-Have Items To Add in Your Spring Wardrobe

Hello lovelies! Remember I did a collab with Bonprix last summer? Well, it’s time for a new one! They decided to continue our collaboration, so I got the chance to pick some new goodies from their website.

It was a pretty tough choice, because they have sooo many items. I was overwhelmed by all the pretty dresses, tops and jackets they had on stock 🙂 And I was a little woried I won’t get the right size, because many people say you should pick a bigger size when ordering from Bonprix.

Luckily, I ordered my usual size, and it was the right one for all these clothing items. So yeah, I guess it depends from person to person, but I personally didn’t have any issues 🙂

Sooo, since I was able to pick a couple of different clothes, I decided to make a post about the 5 essential items you should add in your spring wardrobe. These items are all comfy, feminine, versatile and easy to mix and match.

1. A short sleeved bodysuit, in white or black

A bodysuit is a must-have item in your wardrobe, because it’s versatile and suitable in any season. You can wear it with many different types of pants and skirts. Pick one in white or black, so you can match it to any outfit.

A bodysuit also helps elongate your body figure, and it adds an extra level of warmth when layering your clothes, for those spring windy days.

In my case, the white body was the base of this outfit, because the blouse was slightly too transparent. So it’s also a perfect choice when you want to wear a sheer top at work, but you still want to look decent and professional.

2. A colorful scarf

A scarf is the perfect accessory to give a new dimension to your outfit, to make it more feminine and classy. You can wear it in a business-casual type of look, but you can also pair it with white sneakers and a biker jacket. It’s all about the attitude. I really love this scarf from Bonprix, because of those little metallic details and the nice mix between pink and blue pastels.

3. A white blouse

I know everyone says that the white shirt is a staple in any wardrobe. But what if you’re not a fan of shirts? And what if you’d rather wear something more casual and less restrictive? I think you can easily go for a simple white long sleeved blouse.

At first I thought I picked the wrong size, but actually this has an oversized design, and it’s supposed to be loose and comfy. It’s made of 100% cotton and it feels really great, it’s super cosy and warm. I think it’s a great match for any pair of skinny jeans or skirt.

4. A bright colorful t-shirt

Lately, I’ve been wearing way too much black, white, navy and grey clothing. So I have to push myself and remember to buy bright colorful items as well, because they make me look and feel so much better. I always receive compliments whenever I wear my royal blue blazer, or my bright green floral printed top, and I know I should wear vivid colors more often.

So I had to buy this t-shirt in a coral-pink shade. It’s made of cotton, it feels really soft and cosy, but it’s also an eye-catcher because of the color. This one works perfectly in a Sunday lazy outfit, with jeans and sneakers, but I can also wear it at work with a cardigan and a pencil skirt.

5. A soft pink blazer

I really wanted to own a blazer with a belt, because it looks really modern and classy at the same time. I like the design, it’s suitable for any body shape, and it’s super flattering. The size was perfect, so I love how it fits me.

It’s more of a spring-summer blazer, so it’s thin and slighly transparent. I’m gonna wear it a lot in the next few months, in the chilly summer mornings on my way to work. And even though it might look a bit pretentious, it’s not. Because of the fabric and the light texture, you can easily integrate it in a casual outfit as well.

Wearing: Bonprix Blazer | Bonprix Scarf | C&A Navy Pants | CCC Shoes | Bonprix Blouse | Stradivarius Bag | Bonprix Body | Sunglasses from Talk Talk Accesories, VIVO

Do you own any of these spring essentials? What’s your favorite item?

Casual Christmas Holiday #OOTD: Rocker Boots & Fishnet Tights

Hello ladies! Are you ready for the Christmas holidays or not yet? If you’re still not sure what to wear this Christmas, I hope this outfit post will inspire you and give you some ideas.

I must say this isn’t one of the classic red dress & heels outfit that everyone seems to be wearing for Christmas. I’ll be hanging out with my family for the holidays, so I’m not gonna wear anything fancy. If you do have any glam parties coming up soon, you can check out my 10 Must Have Items for Holiday Party Outfits post.

But this look has more of a casual and edgy vibe to it. It’s one of those outfits where you mix comfy and warm clothes and then spice it up with some cool accessories and details. So I integrated a few trends in this look: fringes, fishnet tights, chokers and rocker boots. And you can spot some masculine details on the sweater as well.

The main attraction of this outfit is my new pair of boots from Monti Shoes. I recently started a collab with this brand, so I got the chance to pick a free pair of shoes to feature on the blog. I eventually decided to get these black ankle boots, and I’m happy with my choice. These are perfect for the winter season, they’re warm and comfortable. And I also spotted some gorgeous over-the-knee boots on their website, if you’re interested.

Last but not least, I absolutely love this pair of tights. I bought it from London earlier this spring, from a random store on Oxford Street. I didn’t get the chance to wear them until now, but I think they look great with the boots & the fringed skirt.

Outfit details: C&A Grey Coat | H&M Sweater | New Yorker Fringed Skirt | Fishnet Tights | Monti Shoes Hazel Boots | Stradivarius Choker & Bag

What do you plan to wear for the Christmas holidays?

Back To School Outfit #2: The Perfect Pair of Jeans

Hi lovelies and welcome back to my blog. Today I wanted to show you a new back-to-school outfit, featuring my current favorite pair of jeans and a green shirt.

It’s not easy to find that perfect pair of jeans, that looks fantastic with anything and makes you look great all the time. The perfect jeans need to be comfortable, easy to wear, flattering for your body type. Besides, you need them in the perfect size and color. Well, I’m happy to say I found mine.

I found these jeans in C&A. I’ve only had pleasant surprises so far with this store, so I always go back for more. Besides having some astonishing blanket scarves, cardigans and hats for the cold season, they also have plenty of jeans. So everyone can find their perfect pair.

My jeans are super skinny, but you can also find mum jeans, flared jeans, straight leg, boyfriend jeans, low-rise, medium-rise and so on. I also had my eyes on a pair of black ripped jeans, but they didn’t look too flattering on me.

If you’re also looking for the perfect pair of jeans, you can also try Zara (they have some amazing designs this year) or Pull’n’Bear. And if you hate going at the mall, go to your favorite outlet and spend some time trying on different pairs. I found some gorgeous pants from Stradivarius in one of these outlets, for only half a price.

For this outfit, I chose a green shirt and some ankle boots, for a preppy, yet casual look. The shirt is Jack & Jones and I got it from the men section. Well, actually my boyfriend bought it for himself, but hey… if I like it, I can wear it, right? 🙂

I don’t own many clothes in this color, but this gorgeous dark emerald green is more than perfect for fall. Add a mauve lip color and some statement earrings and you’re ready to go. You can wear this outfit with a coat, a biker jacket or a trench, depending on your preferences.

WEARING: C&A Super Skinny Jeans | Jack & Jones Shirt | H&M Ankle Boots

What do you think about this outfit? Would you wear it at school?
