Hello ladies! I’m sure you are all aware of the importance of using good make-up brushes. I used to think the tools don’t matter so much, but eventually I noticed that they do a huge difference when it comes to the final look. No matter how good a product is, if you apply it with the wrong tools you can easily ruin the whole make-up. Trust me, been there, done that.
I have been using many brushes from random brands, such as Ebelin (DM), for example, and they were fine, but for me it wasn’t enough. I wanted to try something new, and better, but I also had my doubts in spending a whole lot of money on them. Also, since I am not a make-up artist and I don’t do it professionally, it wouldn’t make sense to buy the most expensive ones from the market.
I was almost convinced to buy a few brushes from Real Techniques and Eco Tools, because they have amazing positive reviews and a decent price. However, a super flash sale came up in my Facebook feed one day, and it was for ELF brushes (Eyes Lips Face Cosmetics). 30% discount on all the individual brushes, and these were already very cheap in the first place. The discount just made them super affordable. I did a little research, they seemed to be very highly rated by users, so I gave it a go.
I chose 6 brushes, placed the order, and waited like a lunatic for the delivery to arrive. Luckily, in two days they were already in my hands.
That was about 2 months ago. Since then, I have been using them daily, and I must say I’m pretty damn impressed. They didn’t lose bristles at all (!), they are soft and well shaped, super easy to use. For the amount of cash I paid, I am more than pleased. They pack on enough product, wash out easily, look very professional (you can see that in the pictures), and do their job very well.
My picks were: a big fluffy brush for powder; a bronzing brush, perfect for contour and highlight; a brow and lash comb; an eye brush for blending; an eye brush for definition; and a simple eyeshadow brush, perfect for packing up color on the mobile lid.
What can I say, I’m happy happy happy with my purchase. I will definitely buy some new ones from this brand, I already have my eyes on a blush brush, one for eyeliner and one for lips.
Let me know if you used them and what do you think about the ELF brushes!
