Hello ladies! How are you doing today? I hope you had a great Easter holiday ❤️
I haven’t done a favorites post in a long time, because I’m a little bored by the format. But instead I wanted to share with you a couple of make-up products that I’ve been using a lot lately.
Ever since I started the new job, I’ve been wearing make-up almost daily. I just love the whole ritual of getting ready in the morning, and making myself look fresh and put together. So now I have a daily routine, and I use more or less the same products everyday. They help me achieve a natural office look, not too intense, but really flattering for my features and style.
Sometimes I switch mascaras or lipsticks, and sometimes I’m also adding eyeshadows, highlighter or blush, but on a daily basis I usually stick to a few amazing products. So if you want to know more about them, keep scrolling 🙂
1. Gerovital Concentrated Serum with Hyaluronic Acid
I received this goodie at the #BBMCluj event, but I’ve been ignoring it for a while. Recently I started using it, and I can say it’s the perfect face primer. I use it in the morning, after washing my face, and it creates the perfect base for my make-up. It’s very hydrating and it also has anti-aging effects, so I’m happy with it so far.
2. Rimmel London BB Cream 9-in-1
I’ve shared my first impressions about this product in an older post, and I still think it’s the best BB cream I’ve tried so far. It has a great coverage, it lasts all day long (which is pretty impressive for a BB cream), the color is a perfect match, so I’ve used it a lot in the past months. I’ll have to repurchase it soon.
3. Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer
I like this concealer, because it has a great texture, it’s super easy to work with, it doesn’t crease and it lightens the eye area. It makes me look fresh and awake, and that’s why I love using it.
Sadly it doesn’t have such a good coverage, but for a daily office look, I’m not really looking for perfection, so I’m OK with it. For an evening make-up look though, I would probably recommend something else.
4. Catrice Nude Illusion Loose Powder Transparent Matt
To set everything in place, I usually use this translucent powder. It doesn’t have any extra coverage, it simply mattifies the whole face. And my make-up always lasts longer when I use it.
No worries about looking like a ghost, this doesn’t make your face look white and cakey, on the contrary. It’s a really good product and also affordable 🙂
5. Melkior I Feel Pretty Mascara
If I’m running out of time in the morning, I just stick to a layer of mascara for my eyes. I’m not always in the mood for blending eyeshadows, but I do want to have long voluminous lashes (especially since my natural ones are really small – nearly invisible).
This mascara from Melkior Professional is perfect to achieve dark and intense lashes, so I use it quite often. I get dirty sometimes when using it, so I usually keep some cotton swabs handy, just in case.
6. Himalaya Herbals Lip Balm
I always have a lip balm in my bag, and I’m currently using this one from Himalaya Herbals. It’s not the best on the market, but I’ve been getting along pretty well with it. I apply this in the morning, to moisturize the lips before applying any lipstick or gloss.
7. Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss (shade Maui)
While everybody was crazy about matte liquid lipsticks not long ago, now it seems there’s a new trend of going back to natural, editorial looks (with natural eyebrows, creamy highlighters and glossy lips).
Anyway, this is the only lip gloss I have in my make-up bag, but I actually like how it looks on me. The color is really bright and joyful, and the product has a great texture and resistance, so that makes me use it every few couple of days. When I’m not wearing this, I go for a nude creamy lipstick from Rimmel London.
Some other products that I also like to use for my daily office make-up look:
- Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Eyebrow Kit
- Sleek Face Contour Kit (for the amazing highlighter)
- Sleek Blush (in Rose Gold)
What are your daily make-up essentials? What products do you use every single day? Have you tried any of the products I mentioned in this post?
Make sure you don’t miss any new updates!
