Best Make-up Products I Tried in 2016 | Top Favorites of 2016

Hello lovelies! I know we’re deep into January already, but I wanted to make a quick recap, featuring the best make-up products I tried in the past year.

2016 has been a year of discoveries for me. I tried many new brands and products every month. Most of them were drugstore, with some high-end bits here and there. And I found some amazing ones that I would definitely repurchase. I already mentioned most of them in the past on the blog or on my Instagram, so they shouldn’t come as a surprise.

These products are definitely worth the hype, they do an amazing job, and most of them are quite affordable as well. I hope you enjoy the list! And don’t forget to check the video for more visual details ❤️️

Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Eyeshadow Palette – review here

I discovered this palette at the end of 2015, but I’ve been using it like crazy ever since, all year round. It’s the best choice for any make-up look. I use it for my daily office make-up, for crazy smokey eyes, for romantic pastel looks, for chic golden looks… you name it. It’s so versatile! And the shades are highly-pigmented and long-lasting.

Revlon ColorStay Combination/ Oily Skin Foundation (180 Sand Beige) – review here

The best drugstore foundation I tried so far, without doubt. The shade I picked is a perfect match, it lasts a lot, it has a great coverage and it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.

Boys’n’Berries All Day Matte Liquid Lipstick (Aria) – review here

You already know how much I love these lipsticks. They are matte, long-lasting, transfer-resistant, and easy to apply. Plus, you can find them in 18 gorgeous shades. I own 3 of them, but my most-used one is Aria, a beautiful mauve shade.

Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Eyebrow Shaping Kit (Medium Dark) – mini-review here

I’ve been using this brow kit a lot since I got it. I love that you can stick your brows in place with the wax, and then fill them in with one of the 3 brown shades available.

Nivea Men After Shave Balm Sensitive – mini-review here

Every beauty blogger used this product as a face primer in 2016. I tried it too, and it actually does a great job. It feels nice on the skin, making it a bit more tight, so the foundation can easily glide on it. And it’s improving the resistance of the foundation. Worked great for me, so it belongs here on the top 10.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

I don’t know why, but somehow I forgot to do a review for this amazing mascara. It’s one of the best I ever tried. It separates your lashes, it makes them look voluminous, long and dramatic. I love the brush and the texture, so I would definitely recommend it.

Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner

Again, one of the best eyeliners I tried last year. I didn’t praise it enough on the blog, but I did use it a lot in my make-up looks. It’s precise, pigmented, opaque, and much easier to apply than other marker-type liners.

Catrice Nude Illusion Loose Powder Transparent Matt

Perfect to set the concealer in place, but also a great choice for setting the foundation. If you want a lightweight mattifying powder, with no coverage, this is perfect.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick (077 Asia)

A creamy moisturizing lipstick that feels amazing on the lips. It’s super cheap, the color I picked is the absolute perfect nude, and it smells delicious.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer – review here

The best bronzer ever. I mean it: it’s matte, has a creamy texture, it’s super easy to apply and to blend, it looks natural and fresh. I love it! A bit too expensive, I agree, but worth every penny.

What were your favorite make-up products in 2016? Did any of the products I mentioned made it to your list?
