Gerovital Plant Skincare Essentials: Vitamin Cleansing Milk & Toner

Hi, my name is Isabela and I am a make-up addict! Well, I guess you knew that already, since I keep posting reviews for many make-up products that I love. However, I didn’t really talk to you guys about the most important part: make-up removal and skincare.

Truth is, no matter how awesome are your make-up skills, you still need to have great care of your skin. It’s essential to understand the importance of a good skincare routine. The old basic 3 steps routine included a make-up remover, a toner and a moisturizing cream, but of course, with so many products on the market, many women have started to add more and more steps, to ensure that their skin remains clean, soft and hydrated.

Today I want to show you two products that I have recently included in my routine. I’ve been using Farmec / Gerovital products for a long time now, and one of the best recent purchases was the Gerovital Plant corrector stick, so when the brand offered to send me some products for testing, I knew I had to pick something from the same product line.

The Gerovital Plant cosmetics are eco certified, preservative-free, all natural and dedicated especially for women between 20-45 years old, and I was very curious to see how they would work on my skin. To be honest, I think I made a great choice. They have an organic edelweiss extract in the composition, and a hypoallergenic perfume which grants a specific scent and a fresh effect.

I must admit, I’m not the biggest fan of the smell, but you eventually get used to it. I’ve heard that some people actually love it, so I guess it depends on each one’s taste.

The first product is a vitamin cleansing milk, perfect for make-up removal and skin hydration. It has Vitamin A and Herbatonic Complex, which helps nourish and protect the skin. I noticed that it has a very fluid formula, so it’s easy to use, and it’s also very efficient and you only need a small amount of product for the whole face and neck. It’s very hydrating and it leaves your skin soft and smooth after applying it.

You can use it as a first step in your skincare routine even when you don’t have any make-up on, to clean any impurities or dirt from its surface. Also, even if it’s not dedicated for eyes and lips, it does a great job in these areas as well. However, my advice would be to remove your eye and lip make-up first with a double phased product (especially if you used any waterproof eyeliner, mascara or a resistant lip stain), then add some cleansing milk on a cotton pad, and gently press it all over your face, to make sure that all the make-up is gone.

The second product is a moisturizing toner, with an alcohol-free formula. The best part about this toner is that it doesn’t tighten the skin, it actually feels very hydrating and I don’t get the need to grab a moisturizing cream afterwards. The skin feels great, clean and happy.

I use it twice a day, each morning after I wash my face, and each evening after applying the vitamin cleansing milk. In the morning it has the best effect, it actually wakes me up, mineralizes and illuminates the skin. After that, I apply a face cream from L’Oreal and this makes the best make-up base.

Also, even if they say that the Gerovital Plant line is dedicated for normal skin, I think it’s also perfect for combination or oily skin. At least mine seems to get along very well with this product 🙂

I am actually very pleased with these two skincare essentials. The Gerovital products are budget-friendly, and yet they have a great quality, and always deliver what they promise. So far, I’ve only had good experiences with this brand. And have you seen the pretty packaging?

I hope you enjoyed this article. More on my make-up removal and skincare routine will come up in a new post very soon, where I will show you my current favorite micellar water, face cream and anti-blemish 3-in-1 cleanser.

Have you tried any products from the Gerovital brand? How did they work for you? And what are your current skincare favorites?
