Makeup Revolution Girls On Film Eyeshadow Palette – Review & Swatches

Ladies, I think I found the perfect eyeshadow palette for summer!

The Makeup Revolution Girls On Film Salvation eyeshadow palette has 18 shades, 12 shimmers and 6 mattes. I absolutely love the colors, although I didn’t get the chance to use all of them yet. But it’s amazing to have so many options for creating a wide range of looks. I think this palette is great for neutral and classic looks, but it’s also the perfect choice for smokey eyes or dramatic evening looks.

Starting with pinks and browns, taupes and goldens, and going all the way down to deep purples and dark greys, this palette is very versatile. Definitely a must-have in every make-up addict’s collection!

I am honestly impressed by the quality of these eyeshadows. It’s my second palette from Makeup Revolution, the first one was Iconic 3, but I think I like this one more.

First of all, it has a great packaging. It comes with a big mirror, the shades are displayed in 3 different rows and it looks very pretty. You can easily differentiate the mattes from the shimmers, which is a big plus.

Also, they are very resistant. I don’t use an eye primer and these last me more than 12 hours without a problem. Damn! 🙂 They are also highly-pigmented, you don’t need much product to achieve a beautiful make-up look. The mattes are a bit less pigmented, but I usually use them as transition shades, so this is not necessarily an issue.

The texture is amazing, they aren’t chalky at all, on the contrary. They are creamy, smooth, buildable and easy to blend. Also, you don’t get any fall-out, maybe just a bit when using the two dark greys. But I always apply concealer only after finishing the eye make-up, so I can easily cover up any mistakes.

Below you can find all the swatches, in the same order they are displayed on the palette.

My favorites are the really bright & intense shades, such as Polaroid Heaven, Frenzy All Down Your Spine and Smile Wider. I think I will be using the Frenzy one to accentuate the lower eyelid, in a bronzed fresh summer look (let me know if you want to see it!).

But the light pinks are also unbelievable, they work great for the inner eye corner, to give an extra glow to the eye make-up. The Lipstick Over Lens can also be used on the center of the lips, for a metallic effect.

For daily use, I highly recommend the two light golden shades, Heads Turning and Camera Rolling. They look gorgeous by their own, with just a bit of mascara, but they also make a great base for a glam evening look.

I e’ffing love this palette! I’m really glad I discovered this brand, I really need to buy more of their products. I mean, they are very affordable and high-quality. What else can a girl need?

You can order the Makeup Revolution Girls on Film palette online on Notino.ro (if you are from Romania) or on their official website. I paid 50 RON for it, but I’m sure it’s even cheaper in the UK and other countries.

    1. Hello Charlotte! That’s awesome, I’m also a big fan of browns and neutral shades and I wear them very often. But I also like to experiment once in a while, with bright purples or dark greys 🙂 That’s why I loove versatile palettes. Thanks for the comment, I hope you enjoyed the post! Kisses
