FASHION LOOK OF THE DAY

Oh baby, it’s hot outside! Summer Colorful OOTD

Welcome to the hottest summer in the last decade. Honestly, if I could, I wouldn’t even wear clothes on this weather. I’d just lay in a bathing suit all day long. But life ain’t that easy and I’m not a billionaire. So I still need to get dressed up every day to go to work, shopping and all that. You know, those things that grown-ups do, regardless of the temperatures outside.

Remember when we were kids and summer was the best time of the year? There were 3 months of holiday, with no school, no responsibilities, no drama or pain. Just a bunch of long sunny days, spent reading or hanging around with friends. Oh, those times.

Summer has always been my favorite season. I just love the sun, the heat, the clear sky and the ice-cold frappes (really, they’re the best). But this year, even I have to admit that it’s way too hot outside.

As a beauty and fashion lover, summer is perhaps the worst season – I know, that’s a paradox. But it’s almost impossible to experiment with layers, make-up or any fancy hairstyles now. Because you know that everything will fell apart in less than 15 minutes after leaving the house.

So that’s why I’ve started wearing less and going out more (as Drake would say). Less make-up, less clothes, less worries about how my hair looks like or if my lipstick is still in place. At least in the super hot days. Let’s face it, it’s a lot more important to feel good and survive the heat.

But don’t worry, I’m making up for this in the breezy evenings. So you need to keep an eye on this blog, ’cause in the next few days I’m going to publish two new posts. One of them is a summer party make-up tutorial & the other is an #OOTD, wearing a beautiful black dress (perfect for the long summer nights). We’re keeping the fun part for later.

Today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite outfits for hot summer days. It’s bright, colorful, romantic and chic. I wore this a couple of weeks ago and it felt amazing. I love the printed top, it’s so summerish. And I mixed it with my mini peplum skirt from Bershka, for a nice color block effect.

To keep the focus on the clothes, I wore some basic accessories. The nude sandals are perfect for long walks in the park – or even better, on the beach.  And the necklace is super cute and feminine. Glam, but comfortable; basic, but bright; simple, but creative.

I know you’ve already heard this so many times before, but the little things matter so much. Just a quick walk with my better half, a pineapple ice-cream, the hot sun and a camera to capture these beautiful moments.  That’s enough to make me happy and smile with all my heart.

  1. I really like your writing, girl!:) To be honest, I feel the same way about spending the summer like an “adult”; sometimes I just don’t want to accept the fact that I can’t do what I want for three months like before, lol. Anyway, this look is perfect for a hot summer day! I love how bright and comfortable it looks.
Thanks so much for sharing and have a great weekend:) Can’t wait to see your makeup tutorial, by the way!

    1. Thank you very much, Yulia! So glad to hear you liked this post. I know, right? Adulting is not as fun as I thought it would be, ha ha. By the way, I just posted the tutorial, can’t wait to hear your feedback after you see it 💋
