Hi lovelies! I got these liquid lipsticks at the #BBMCluj Summer Party event, they were in the goodie bag. So since then, I had enough time to wear them and see what I like and don’t like about each one 🙂

So you know what this means: it’s time for a new review, with swatches & everything!

Nyx Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick – Cherry Skies

This is my favorite lipstick of all 3 🙂 I love the color, is pretty similar to the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Copenhagen – a rich and dark burgundy.

This lipstick is easy to apply and it looks really good on the lips. It’s a matte formula, but it doesn’t dry out the lips too much, it feels quite comfortable in the first few hours. I also think it’s long lasting, the last time I wore it it was still on after 8 hours, without any touch ups. Just keep in mind that I used a lip pencil as a base first, so that probably improved its resistance even more.

It’s very pigmented, the shade is super flattering, and I can wear it in many different looks. I’m sure it’s gonna be perfect for fall, but I already integrated this lipstick in a summer bronzy look, and I think it’s a perfect match!

Nyx Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick – Amethyst

This shade is soo insane and, well, not so wearable 🙂 It’s quite hard to wear a bright intense purple on the lips at work or on the bus, but I think it’s perfect for a night out or whenever you’re feeling more rebel and want to get out of your comfort zone!

Even though it’s part of the same Liquid Suede range, this shade doesn’t apply as easy as the previous one. It’s kinda’ streaky and patchy when you apply it, and I think you can notice this from the picture below. And it dries out slowly, not immediately, so you need to wait a little until it’s matte and dry.

To be honest, I didn’t use a lip crayon as a base this time, because well… I don’t have a lip crayon in this color in my make-up bag. But overall, it was much more difficult to apply. Even though I was very careful when applying it, I still got it a little over the lip contour, so I had to remove the mess with a cotton swab.

So this is another reason why you can’t just throw a coat on your lips and get out of the house. Nope, doesn’t work like that, you need to spend at least 10 minutes to get it right 😂

I wore this one for 5-6 hours one day, and it lasted pretty well.

Nyx Lingerie – After Hours

I’ve been wanting to try the Nyx Lingerie lipsticks for a long time now. Many bloggers and Youtubers were crazy about them, but they weren’t available in Romania at the time. Well, now they are, you can find them on makeup-shop.ro and also on all the Nyx physical stores.

The Nyx Lingerie range has 12 nude shades, with many different undertones. Mine is called After Hours, a nude brown.

I like the applicator, it’s a bit smaller than the one from Liquid Suede, so it’s more precise and easy to apply.

But I’m slightly dissapointed by this lipstick, and here’s why:

• It has a weird texture, too sticky and drying for my taste
• It’s unflattering for the lips, you can see all the fine lines and cracks
• It dries out too quickly, and you can’t build up the color. Once you apply one thin layer, that’s it, you can’t go back and add more product, because it’s gonna look terrible

I didn’t find myself reaching out for this lipstick too often. In fact, I think I wore it only once ever since I got it, so I didn’t get the chance to see how long-lasting it is. I just know that in the first 30 min it was transfer resistant, and it was very difficult to remove.

Below you can see the swatches as well. At first they seem a little wet and creamy, but then they dry matte.

Overall, I would like to try more colors from the Liquid Suede collection, maybe a couple of other dark shades. But I wasn’t impressed by the Nyx Lingerie lipstick, and even though I still have a couple of their shades on my wishlist (Push Up and Riffle Trim), I’m not sure if I’ll buy them anymore, because I don’t get along too well with the texture.
